We're not shamans or spirit whisperers, and we're definitely not enlightened.
We're just a group of geezers trying to better understand ourselves and support the growth and wellbeing of our community.
I have spent a large part of my life living in extremes. Either I'd be going to Arsenal away games and weekend-long parties, or I'd be in an ashram in India and juice dieting. I often found that during my more 'geezy' phases, my mood and mental health would be a lot more up and down. Life isn't just black and white, and I've learnt that it's possible to enjoy all the beautiful colours in the middle.
I'm a terribly sensitive geezer - which helps me write well, make music and art, and appreciate the beautiful things in life. It also means I can get quite easily overwhelmed. As an artist with an educational background in psychology - I've managed to strike a balance between supporting others and being creative; working as a counsellor specialising in creativity mentorship, as I continue to develop and nurture my own creative projects.
I’m a lover of people and led by curiosity, which I guess is how I became part of the Yogeez family. I’m a big music fan – in the summer most likely at Glastonbury, in the winter at Printworks and on a night out always the last one on the dancefloor. I’ve been fascinated by what makes us happy since I lost my step-dad to suicide 8 years ago and I’m always looking to connect on a deeper level to understand why the fuck we are here and what on earth is going on.
I am a firm believer that our outer expression is a physical representation of the 'soul'. As a young child I faced a lot of physical disadvantages, and as the years went by I decided I did not to want feel inferior to any man. Step by step I started working on my core to gain more strength, and focusing on what I ate, drank, listened to and said. In doing so I discovered that by aligning our physical and mental frequencies, the infinite power within us all is revealed.
I’m an easy-going, fun-loving geezer. I have a passion for people, and nothing makes me happier than connecting with others, preferably over a great meal - or a game of footy. I’m a qualified life coach working in the creative sector, with a degree in Philosophy. That tends to make me a bit of a thinker - or ponderer, if you will. I’m always up for a big chat - I’m trained in it, in fact - and believe that good communication is the key to success.
Oh yeah, and there is
one more of us...
